(in response to the November Notes Writing Challenge as hosted by A Reading Writer and Heartstring Eulogies. and a Daily Prompt)
Standing on the street outside the house where you still live
Wanting to come in but what have I to give?
I wish that I was brave enough to love you like you need
But all I’ll do is break your heart and leave you there to bleed
There’s nothing left to talk about, no thoughts to percolate
No argument to change my mind, no reason I should wait
But I’m standing here watching, for one last glimpse of you
Before I walk away and just become, that girl that you once knew
oh dear. i feel every word. love the rhyming too
